2017

She made her acting debut in the comedy film Poster Boys (2017) and had her first lead role in the romantic drama Laila Majnu (2018).

Dimri made her acting debut with Shreyas Talpade's directorial debut, the 2017 comedy Poster Boys, starring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Talpade in lead roles.

An official remake of the Marathi film Poshter Boyz, it featured her as Talpade's love interest.

A critic for Bollywood Hungama noted that Dimri's performance was overshadowed by others in the ensemble cast, yet found her to be "decent".

2018

She next appeared in a leading role in the 2018 romantic drama Laila Majnu, opposite Avinash Tiwary.

In her review for Firstpost, Anna M. M. Vetticad noted that she "imbued her Laila with an edge that made the character's constant flirtations with danger believable".

2020

She gained critical recognition for her performances in Anvita Dutt's period films Bulbbul (2020) and Qala (2022), with the former earning her a Filmfare OTT Award.

She was born to Meenakshi and Dinesh into a Hindu family and in an interview she revealed that her parents have always been supportive of her in her career.

Dimri did her schooling at Delhi Public School, Firozabad and completed her graduation in psychology from Sri Aurobindo College.

She later went on to pursue acting at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune after her graduation.

After a short hiatus, Dimri achieved her breakthrough as the protagonist in Anvita Dutt's 2020 supernatural drama Bulbbul, reuniting her with Tiwari for a second time.

In 2022, Dimri reunited with Dutt and starred in the title role of the critically acclaimed Qala.

The film received positive reviews from critics with Dimri's performance as a young singer attempting to simultaneously navigate her personal relationships alongside her career receiving praise.

Sanatanu Das of the Hindustan Times found Dimri to be "in fine form" but added that "her character is frustratingly one-note and delivered mostly in the same anxious wavelength".

For Dimri, Qala was about "trying to do different genres because as actors it is important to step out of our comfort zone and that is what helps you better your craft".

She then appeared in a brief role in the top-grossing action thriller Animal (2023), starring Ranbir Kapoor.
