1949

The goal came in the 49th minute as he struck a low finish into the bottom left corner off the post from The Edge of the box after coming in as a first half substitute for Todd Cantwell.

Days later he would, be awarded man of the match in only his second league start, a 2-0 win against St Mirren.

1971

When Rangers met Kilmarnock F.C. on January 2nd to remember the 1971 Ibrox disaster McCausland would score in the 41st minute with the game ending in a 3-1 win with both Abdallah Sima and Todd Cantwell scoring as well in the match

McCausland played regularly for Northern Ireland as a youth internationalist.

On 14 November 2023, McCausland received his first called up to the Northern Ireland senior team for a round of UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying matches.

Three days later her made his debut against Finland, starting in a 4-0 defeat.

Rangers

1984

McCausland came on as an 84th minute substitute for Scott Wright.

McCausland would start to make noise amongst the Rangers supporters when he thought he had bagged his first Rangers goal in a 0-2 victory away to Livingston in a Scottish Premiership fixture, but it was ruled out as Abdallah Sima was questionably blamed for a foul in the build-up.

McCausland signed a new four-year contract with Rangers on 28 November 2023 and was promoted to the first-team squad permanently.

Two days later he celebrated with a first goal for the club, he netted Rangers only goal in an Europa League group stage tie against Aris Limassol.

2003

Ross McCausland (born 12 May 2003) is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays for Rangers in the Scottish Premier League and the Northern Ireland national team.

2019

McCausland joined the Rangers Academy from Northern Irish side Linfield in the summer of 2019 for £60,000.

He signed a contract extension with the club until 2024.

McCausland made his debut for Rangers, replacing Amad Diallo as a 61st-minute substitute during a 3–1 win over Heart of Midlothian on 14 May 2022 in which he grabbed an assist as he set up fellow debutant Cole McKinnon for his first goal.

He made only one appearance the following season, 2022-23, being used as a substitute by then manager Michael Beale for a league match away to Hibernian on 21 May 2023.

After the sacking of Beale during the 2023-24 season, McCausland started to get a run of games under interim manager Steven Davis and later permanent manager Philippe Clement.

On 5 October 2023, he made his first appearance that season, under Davis, verses Cypriot side Aris Limassol, in the UEFA Europa League.
