Rishad Hossain (born 15 July 2002) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who is from country’s northern district Nilphamari.
He is a legbreak googly bowler.
He holds the unique distinction of having got off the mark in both his ODI and T20I careers by hitting a six.
He made his first-class debut for North Zone in the 2018–19 Bangladesh Cricket League on 5 December 2018.
He made his Twenty20 debut for Khelaghor Samaj Kallyan Samity in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League on 25 February 2019.
In November 2019, he was selected to play for the Rangpur Rangers in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League.
In February 2021, he was selected in the Bangladesh Emerging squad for their home series against the Ireland Wolves.
He made his List A debut on 24 March 2022, for Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity in the 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.
In March 2023, he earned his maiden call-up to the Bangladesh cricket team for their T20I series against Ireland.
He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Bangladesh, on 31 March 2023, against Ireland.
His first scoring shot in international cricket was a six which he scored on his T20I debut off the third delivery he faced.
In December 2023, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for their white-ball tour to New Zealand.
He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh, on 20 December 2023, against New Zealand.
He smashed a six off the very first delivery, he faced on his ODI debut after coming into bat at number nine position.
He eventually became the second Bangladeshi player to hit a six off the first delivery he faced in his ODI career after Shamim Hossain.
In February 2024, he was named in Bangladesh's limited overs squad for their series against Sri Lanka.
During the 3rd T20I, he claimed his maiden half-century in T20I cricket, scoring 53 runs off 30 balls.
