Born Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramirez on February 29, 1960, in El Paso, Texas, Richard Ramirez would later earn the moniker ‘The Night Stalker’ due to the nocturnal nature of his crimes. His criminal activities spanned from June 1984 until August 1985, during which he was responsible for a series of brutal murders, sexual assaults, and burglaries. Ramirez's modus operandi included breaking into the homes of his victims at night, using a variety of weapons, and often leaving behind satanic symbols and messages.
