Mohammed bin Salman

ABOUT Mohammed bin Salman, often abbreviated as MbS, is the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Born on August 31, 1985, he is the eldest son of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Mohammed bin Salman has emerged as a prominent leader within Saudi Arabia, holding multiple key positions including the title of Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense. He is also recognized as the driving force behind Saudi Vision 2030, a broad initiative aimed at diversifying the kingdom's economy away from oil dependence and introducing social reforms.

BEFORE FAME Mohammed was educated in traditional Saudi Arabian institutions and later graduated with a degree in Law from King Saud University. Before ascending to power, he was involved in various government bodies and advisory councils. His early career included working as a special advisor to his father, who at that time was the Governor of Riyadh.

TRIVIA Under Mohammed bin Salman's leadership, several significant reforms have been implemented. Notably, he has eased restrictions on women’s rights, allowing them to drive and gain more participation in the workforce. He has launched economic diversification plans including the development of futuristic city projects like NEOM. FAMILY LIFE Mohammed bin Salman is married to Princess Sara bint Mashour bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and together they have children. As the son of King Salman, he grew up within the royal court, experiencing the intricacies of Saudi administration from a young age.
