She was born on 19 July 1984 to an Indian father and an Indian Israeli mother who is of Bene Israel origin and a part of the Jewish community in India.
She was raised in Bahrain and had difficulty in Hindi in earlier days of her career.
Her cousin sister and brother-in-law were killed during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.
