Disha Vakani Padia is an Indian theatre, film and television actress.
She is known for playing the role of Daya Jethalal Gada on the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Disha Vakani was born on either 17 August 1978 or 17 September 1978 in a Gujarati family to a noted Gujarati theatre personality Bhim Vakani in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Disha was introduced to theatre at a very young age by her father Bhim Vakani, a noted Gujarati theatre personality.
Her career in acting kick-started as a child theatre-artiste with her father.
She graduated in Dramatics from Gujarat College, Ahmedabad.
