He is also known for his role as the "Discount Double Check" guy in a series of State Farm commercials starring Aaron Rodgers.

Martinez debuted his acting career with the series America's Most Wanted in 1993, and since then he has acted in several television series.

In 2013, Martinez appeared in the biographical comedy film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty as Hernando for a supporting role along with Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig in the lead.
